Verify the Integrity of the Existing Server Project

Only server projects can be restored and then upgraded. Client and FEP projects cannot be restored; therefore, they must be deleted. However, if the Client/FEP station you want to upgrade on the same machine, you can perform the in-place Client/FEP project upgrade.

You should verify the following for a project before backing it up.

  1. Open SMC on the Server.
  1. In the SMC tree, select Projects node.
  1. In the Projects tree, select the project that you want to back up.
  1. In the Projects Settings tab, verify the following:
  • Data Version is 5.0 and later.
  • For backing up the project, the project must be Started.
