Create a New Global User Group

  • System Manager is in Engineering mode.
  1. In System Browser, select Management View.
    NOTE: In a distributed system, select the master system for global user groups.
  1. Select Project > System Settings > Security.
  1. Select the Security tab.
  1. Click New .
  1. In the New Group dialog box:
    a. In the Group type field, select User.
    b. In the Distribution field, select Global.
    c. Enter a unique group name.
    d. Click OK.

NOTE:
The name for user groups and management stations groups must be unique throughout the system.
