Configuring Include/Exclude Commands in Macros for XNET Devices
Scenario
You want to configure a macro to include or exclude an XNET panel device or an input/output component. Depending on the type of fire device, the macro configuration is different. For general information about configuring macros, see Macros.
MXL Devices
- Open or create the macro.
- Drag the device, for example a TRI-RC, from System Browser to the macro instruction row.
- Leave Property to Undefined.
- In Command, select the exact command to execute.
For example, to exclude all the output components, select ExcludeOut.
- Complete and save the macro.
XLS and Modular Devices with No Exposed Components
- Open or create the macro.
- For XLS devices that do not have a subtree of components in System Browser, drag the device object from System Browser to the macro instruction row. For example, an FDO421 smoke detector.
- Select the target object in Property.
The target object can be the entire device or a component. For example, the Relay Output.
- In Command, select the exact command to execute.
- Complete and save the macro.
