Fire and Carbon Monoxide (CO) FS92 Events Reference
This section describes the different types of fire and carbon monoxide (CO) detection events, and briefly presents how to treat the three main types: Alarms, Troubles, and Supervisories (fire devices only).
Fire Alarms
Fire alarms appear in the Desigo CC user interface with maximum priority, as indicated by the Life Safety category, by the most relevant position on the screen, and by the red background color. The Event List provides the event information including cause, source, location, date/time, suggested actions, and so on. The event cause explicitly indicates the type of danger: fire alarm or carbon monoxide (CO) alarm.
In UL configurations, fire and carbon monoxide (CO) alarms share the same event category but fire alarms always take precedence.
Station operators are expected to treat such alarms immediately to prevent fire and carbon monoxide (CO) from spreading.
Basic control commands become available in Event List as icon buttons. These include acknowledge, silence/unsilence, and reset.
Acting on the event buttons on the left allows operators to launch more advanced treatment procedures that can vary depending on the specific configuration.
Alarm Handling Monitoring and Alarm Timers
The fire panel monitors the alarm handing performed at the Desigo CC management platform level. If the expected process does not complete within a predefined maximum time, the panel activates a general alarm and the associated alarming notifications. If enabled for the fire network, a countdown timer (mm:ss) displays in the event description on the Desigo CC stations that indicates the remaining time to execute the command (acknowledge first and then reset) before the general alarm starts.
In the event lamps and in event buttons, the alarms subject to time monitoring are indicated with a clock icon. In System Manager, the status of the alarm timer displays for the selected object (stopped, running, expired).
NOTE: Proper time synchronization is required between the management station and the panel to get a correct countdown time.
Fire Troubles
Troubles in the fire system may delay the recognition of fire and carbon monoxide (CO) events and can have very serious consequences. Therefore, operators are expected to treat troubles as soon as possible.
As for fire alarms, Event List provides all the available event information.
Fire Supervisories
No direct danger is caused by Fire Supervisories events, but they can negatively influence the fire system functionality. As for fire alarms and troubles, Event List provides all the available event information.

NOTE:
Audio alert: Desigo CC has no control over subsequent alarm notification signals.
